Lisa Hardy M.D.
I am board certified in child and adolescent as well as adult psychiatry. Upon completing my fellowship at Stanford University, I was an attending physician at Children's Hospital Oakland. I chose to work at Children's because of the chance to work in an urban setting and to help support at risk youth and their families. After completing 10 years at Children's including a 5 year tenure as Division Chief of Psychiatry, I chose to change to the world of private practice so I could form closer relationships with my patients and their families, and be more readily available to advocate for their needs and provide more individualized care. I have enjoyed watching my patients navigate life's challenges on a more personal level. I live with my family in the East Bay and try as much as possible to participate in the lives of my teenage daughter and "tween" son and to also spend time outdoors with our dog, Bosley, always trying to balance the challenges of my work and home lives.
My clinical interest include:
Anxiety and trauma/PTSD
Depression and Bipolar Disorder
Navigating Identity Issues at any life stage
Dual Diagnosis and Substance Abuse
